March Recap

Can't believe that it's been over a month since my last post, such a slacker.  I finally updated with a few posts to recap our awesome month, read below.

Our little man also turned 9 months old in March.  What??  Where has time gone.  Here is our little guy doing his favorite activity, walking!!!  Slow down boy, you're growing up too fast! 

Real Season Is Upon Us!

Finally!  RSL soccer is here again!  Now that basketball is over, we are super excited to be able to watch our favorite soccer team again.

March Madness!

Zach was lucky enough to go watch BYU play a few games in the tourney!  He said that watching Jimmer in person was pretty incredible.  Can you believe he is actually wearing BYU paraphernalia?  I can't, but no complaints here!

Cake Decorating 101

Debs and I signed up to take a cake decorating class which was a ton of fun.  Each Saturday for 4 weeks we learned new techniques and got to try out what we learned.

I did not get off to a good start. . .  the first cake I baked totally fell apart when I tried to take it out of the pan. 

However, I redeemed myself and was able to bake something that would work for my first class.

Here is a picture of what my FIRST cake looked like. . . not too bad, eh?

Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of my other cakes, my BETTER, MUCH BETTER cakes so don't judge based solely on the picture above.  I actually became a pretty decent cake decorator.

Sochi 2014 Here We Come!

A few weeks ago, we attended our first training session for our 2014 Winter Olympic Curling team ;)  I have to say, Curling is WAY harder than it looks, not one of my best sports that's for sure!

Our Curling Coach was very intense, she did take a liking to me however and commented on the awesome "penguin dive" when I released the stone  (basically a nicer way of saying that my belly flop onto the ice wasn't really going to work if we wanted to win).

A Trip Down South

We took advantage of the long weekend and headed to St. George with our friends, the Jones and Mortensen's.  We had a blast just hangin' with good company, got some good grub, and a ton of laughs. The boys were able to get a few rounds of golf in while the rest of us hiked around Snow Canyon.  We even got a day in at Vegas!
