Whitchurch Family Vacation

Last month we took a trip with the whole Whitchurch family to Southern California. It was a blast. Get ready for picture overload...

We decided to drive down, I was super nervous thinking Eli would be going crazy in his car seat for such a long time, but he did great!

  The weather was gorgeous, a little hot for that time of year, but it made going to the Beach a blast

 Spent a day at the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH, and it truly was just that!  Eli loved all the kiddie rides, here we are on DUMBO

 The Bugs Life area in California Adventure is the BEST for kids.  We went on this ride many times

 The water area there kept us all cool, Eli had a blast playing in it

California Adventure has a night show called "WORLD OF COLOR"  This is a MUST SEE for anyone who visits the park.  Seriously so cool.

We had a great view of the "Tall Ships Festival" from our condo.   We thought it would be cool to go to the harbor and check out the ships up close. 

 On Saturday, we attended the Utah vs. USC football game.  The Coliseum is a pretty cool venue and I gotta say that the USC fans were very polite!

Silver Lake

Last week we decided to head up to Silver Lake to get out of the heat.  Eli had a blast walking around and did not want to ride in the stroller.  He moves non-stop!

Holiday Weekend

We had a great 24th of July.  With the Holiday falling on Sunday this year, we were able to celebrate all weekend!  

On Saturday, we went boating with some friends.  It was Eli's first time on the lake!  He HATED wearing the life jacket, but once we started moving he was happy.  And don't worry folks, we were only going like 5 mph on the tube.

 We then left Jordanelle and headed straight to Kamas where we go every year to an old Stratford East Neighborhood Reunion BBQ

 On Monday, we were able to go with Zach's brother Jesse and his wife Brynn to the fountains at the Gateway.  Eli kept wanting to look down the holes where the water shoots out, not such a good idea.

 These two were just as happy to play in the water as the kids were

 After the fountains, we headed to get some food and dessert.  Eli LOVED the caramel apple, what a cutie!

They're Back!!

Remember this post?  Can you believe that two years have gone by and the three amigos are back from their missions? Well I couldn't.  At the end of May, we had the pleasure of welcoming home two of the three boys who flew back home not only on the SAME DAY, but just TWO minutes apart.  The whole McConnell-Burton clan went to the airport for the glorious reunion with Kevin and Chris.

Our Boy is One!!

 

 Last month we celebrated Eli's 1st birthday. With the chaotic week of moving, work and family functions, we decided to have a low key party with family and friends at Tanner park.  It was perfect and I could not have been more pleased with how it turned out.
