Biking the Legacy. . .

. . . The Legacy Parkway that is. Zach and I rode on a new trail that neither of us had ever been on before. The bike path runs along side of the new Legacy Parkway, starts in North Salt Lake and ends in Farmington by Lagoon. We were surprised by all the scenery, we rode by a lot of horses, some wetlands, every once in a while there is a stop with benches and bathrooms, and my favorite. . . a HUGE pumpkin patch. The trail is flat and not crowded at all. Here are some pics!
So the biggest adventure of the day happened when we were driving home. As we got back to our car, we started loading our bikes on to our rack. (we have the kind of rack where you have to take off the front tire to mount the bike, then mount the tire separately) I must have been tired or something and didn't quite lock my tire in place. So, as we are driving home ON THE FREEWAY, all of the sudden Zach yells, "the tire!!" Sure enough, the tire fell off the roof of our car, which luckily Zach saw out of the rear view mirror just in time to pull over. He got out and walked about 1/4 mile back to see the poor tire just chillin' on the side of the freeway. This is him walking back with the tire. Let's just say Zach will be putting on bikes on the rack from now on.

Another picture I just had to post. . . . this happened just a few days earlier when Zach could not unclip his shoe. As he was falling I hear, "uh oh!" He was a good sport to lay there as I was laughing, trying to get out my camera.

I totally didn't know you had a blog. I should invite you guys to ours. I guess I'm kind of a crappy sister.
